Blavatnik school of Government Oxford employs a combination of modern control systems with ground-breaking technology to help minimise its environmental impact and have achieved a ‘BREEAM Excellent’ rating for its standards of sustainable building design, construction and operation.
Compared to existing UK buildings of similar size and use, the building is expected to have 49% less energy consumption and 42% less carbon dioxide emissions.
Environmental sustainability technologies in the building are e.g. automated natural ventilation with daytime solar blinds and summer night cooling. WindowMaster has provided more than 300 MotorLink® actuators which enables full control of each motorized window.
